Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Tonight President Obama’s State of the Union Address will begin “Act Two” of his second term, according to CBS. NPR offers Four Things to Expect while CNN suggests Five Things To Watch. Not among the four, or five, is Ted Nugent, who said “I will be taking on the media orgy after the State of the Union Address.” Nugent was invited by Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX), who announced last week that he will “truth-check” the speech on Twitter, using the hashtag #YouLie. To paraphrase She Who Is Not Going to Al Jazeera, “How’s that rebranding workin’ out for ya?”

I’ve figured out the Republicans’ rebranding plan:
New and Improved! Crazier Than Ever!

Seriously, the best argument for stricter gun controls is Ted Nugent. Particularly if he says – and it’s virtually a guarantee – something really offensive and stupid either during the SOTU, or immediately thereafter.
The Republicans have been dithering whether Rubio should do the response in both English and Spanish. Rand Paul is also pretty likely to say something asinine. Life is good.
Oh, and you forgot the other, more authoritative take on what the President will be saying in the State of the Union. I’m really looking forward to it.

This is nuts! They have already picked out thar hashtag? Really.
And as for Nugent his presence is offensive. Period. But as thet say it says more about the guy who invited him.

I have nothing clever to say. What a sad state of affairs for the Grand Old Party. There is no way to rebrand this crap or reposition people like Nugent.
Thanks for the Onion link, Norbrook.
