Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
On Sunday the Boston Globe‘s Michael Kranish reported that Romney political director Rich Beeson said that not until after the election did he realize what the Obama campaign’s hundreds of staff offices, thousands of paid staffers, and millions of volunteers were up to: “Now I know what they were doing with all the staffs and offices. They were literally creating a one-to-one contact with voters.” Did Romney and Beeson think we grassroots Democratic activists were hand-printing Obama t-shirts and yard signs?

That’s what arrogance gets you! Think that “it’s your turn” think that “this one is ours” and think that “we’ve got this in the bag” and you’ve no need to actually check out realworldia. I am LMAO at the hubris…and the fall.

I’m not often flummoxed, but this quote flummoxed me. Seriously … what did the Romney campaign think all of those OFA offices were for? Did they think we grassroots activists got together to sip coffee, eat donuts, and gab about TV ads and cable news chatter?
Yes, we were “literally creating a one-to-one contact with voters.” Here at BPI we call it Fred Whispering, and we don’t keep it a secret. Did they think we were making up those stories of offline political activism? Did they think Jim Messina was making up numbers about OFA voter contacts?
Like I said, I’m not often flummoxed. But this one … has me flummoxed.
