Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today on CNN’s State of the Union, Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) said House Republicans would pass a bill to extend tax relief for 98% of American families, and on Fox News Sunday, Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) said the GOP should concede on tax rates to bargain on spending. On ABC’s This Week, George Will said the opposition to marriage equality is “quite literally” dying, and on NBC’s Meet the Press Newt Gingrich said today’s GOP would be “incapable of competing” with Hillary Clinton in 2016. Can Oregon spike Penn State in women’s volleyball?

Yes, the Usual Guests said the Usual Things on the Sunday Morning Blabfest. What.Ever. I watched the NCAA Women’s Volleyball tournament last night, and it was a whole lot more engaging than whatever whoever said this morning. The Squirrel was disconsolate that the Minnesota Golden Gophers (a kind of squirrel) lost to Penn State. We commiserated and hope Oregon can topple the #1-ranked Nittany Lions. Besides … where else will you ever see a sign reading: “Fear The Ducks!”

I just wish, after watching three of the four women’s volleyball matches last night that politics was as clean and easy to call as volleyball.
Why is Newt giving Hillary a set-up? Does the GOP have a captain yet? Will Boehner of team tears try for a fourth hit on medicare? (Only 3 are legal in VB). Would Mitch have been called for hitting his own serve on the filibuster?
I’m pulling for Oregon now after Minnesota got beaten.

The way the Republicans are going, I think they’ll have a tough time beating any Democrat running for President in 2016. I take anything the usual suspects say on Sunday talk shows with a hefty grain of salt.
I have no opinion on college volleyball. Sorry.
