Campus Question – November 18, 2012

Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)

Today on the Sunday blabfest, members of Congress called for an investigation of the White House talking points on Benghazi. Not the attack. Just the talking points. Also, Republicans repudiated their party’s talking points. Not their policies. Just the talking points. And Newt Gingrich said the U.S. should abandon Middle East peace talks. Didn’t he get the memo that Realworldia is all about talking points?

I dreamed of a world where the Sunday blabfest is not set by the GOP’s P.R. agenda. Then I awoke and … well … you know the rest.

In other news, the Tampa Bay Bucs took advantage of the Squirrel’s inattention to score 11 points in the final three minutes, forcing their game with the Carolina Panthers into overtime, where the Bucs scored the game-winning touchdown on the opening drive. This gives the Bucs a four-game win streak. Reports of ice storms in Hades may be exaggerated….

The right wing is desperate for a scandal. They’re probably wondering why none of this is gaining any traction beyond the lunatic fringe. Of course, they’re still wondering why they lost the election. ;-) Eventually, if they keep flailing around enough, they might hit a fact or three before they move on.
