Note: I moved this to the bottom of the thread. I am updating this comment as the numbers change. If some replies seem off, it’s because the numbers changed and I updated the comment since the reply was entered.
Note at 9.45pm ET: At this point it’s too much work to transcribe the counts as they unfold. I will update as winners are declared.
Did you notice that after 124 comments it flipped us to a new page?
Yes, I did.

I’m going to say good night as well. I can’t handle anymore. I’m going to hope that when I wake in the morning I’ll find the west coast has saved us.
Hugggs to all!
Hi everybody. I’m tired. Tales from the canvas and the phonebank and the signwave and the GOTV all after I’ve had some sleep (and profuse amounts of ETOH).
See you soon. Happy election night. And don’t forget — we made a difference with every person we contacted. Don’t discount that, even if the election didn’t wind up the way you wanted. We are building a better country, even if the voters are sometimes a lagging indicator.
Peace to all, and keep the gloves on.
Thanks for checking in, rb137. I feel a bit like I got smacked by a 2×4. When they say all politics is local, they also mean the feeling of intense loss is worst when it is closer to home.
Senate seat lost
Governorship lost
WI delegation lost two seats including Obey’s old seat
Excellent advice, btw:
Maybe the voters we contacted who were really gung-ho about voting will become volunteers next time … and take it that next step.
Right now I worry about education and family rights. The new governor hates schools and the new lt. governor hates LGBT. The perfect marriage of GOP hate.
My state turned red on all the maps and so did the state right below me.
